One of the cheapest ways to get to Oxford (connecting in London) from most European cities including Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin is by Bus. The advantage of the bus is that there are no transfers from airports at either end which are often not factored in when buying budget airline flights. For International destinations such as Oxford to Paris, Oxford to Prague, Poland to Oxford and Oxford to Amsterdam you may be interested in looking at Eurolines who connect 41 European cities. Eurolines cheapest fare is £15 between cities with their funfare promotion. You can also buy a 15 day unlimted bus pass for Europe for as little as 175 Euros. A good alternative for European inter-city travel is the train. Eurostar tickets are now available for trains from Paris to London and from Brussels to London and can be booked online. The train tends to be more expensive than bus travel but some good deals can be had if you buy a European wide train pass such as the inter-rail pass. A number of different travel passes are available, include country specific passes to purchase online, although you may need to be a resident of a European country to make the purchase.
