The Varsity Shop (Castells) This tailor is now part of the Shepherd & Woodward group, but still represents a charming shop where tourists can buy their own authentic piece of oxford university life. The shop is also conveniently located at the heart of the university, opposite world-class colleges Balliol and Trinity.

Blackwell's Bookstore Blackwell's is a book store that caters solely to the academic - it is where Oxford University students buy all their text books, if they can afford them new. While you are unlikely to buy the latest Jackie Collins book here, it is worth a visit if only to absorb the intellectual atmosphere.
